Full Journal pdf1998-03-31 House Journal Page 2818 HJR 44 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the March30, 1998 calendar (page 2798), was read the third time: CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 44(RLS) am Proposing amendments to the Constitution of the State of Alaska relating to redistricting and reapportionment of the legislature; repealing obsolete language setting out the apportionment schedule used to elect members of the first state legislature. Representative Martin moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHJR 44(RLS) am be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 9. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 9 was offered by Representative Martin: Page 3, line 4, following "appoint": Delete "a redistricting ªREAPPORTIONMENTß" Insert "one member of the redistricting ªA REAPPORTIONMENTß Page 3, line 5, following "board": Insert "and the legislature shall appoint the remaining members" Representative Martin moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 9 be adopted. Objection was heard. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 to Amendment No. 9 be adopted?"
